Zimbabwe National Supercomputing Center Phase 1 and Phase 2 overall construction project
Located at the University of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Supercomputing Center boasts a computing speed of 36 trillion operations per second and a storage capacity of 72TB. The system comprises TS850 high-end fault-tolerant servers and TS10000 high-performance servers, representing the highest level of independent R&D in China. It can undertake research tasks in various fields, including life sciences, climate meteorology, and education and scientific research. The core equipment of the Zimbabwe Supercomputing Center is valued at approximately RMB 33 million, provided through an interest-free loan from the Chinese government. The building and other supporting facilities at the center's location were provided by the Zimbabwean side. This high-performance supercomputing center (hereinafter referred to as the supercomputing center) makes Zimbabwe the fifth African country to own a supercomputer, ranking second in Africa in terms of computing power.
Zimbabwe's National Data Centre was officially launched on February 24, 2021, in Harare, the capital city. This project aims to enhance the Zimbabwean government's digitalization and informatization levels, helping the country attract foreign investment and promote economic transformation and upgrading. The launch of the National Data Centre is an important step for Zimbabwe in improving its information and communication technology infrastructure, and it is of great significance for improving government management capabilities and reducing administrative costs.
Congo (Brazzaville) National Data Center Machine Room and Building Intelligent Construction Project
The main building of this project has one underground floor and four above-ground floors. It will be equipped with related high and low voltage electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and intelligent equipment. Upon completion, it will become a landmark building in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo. As a core part of the Republic of the Congo's access to the Central African fiber optic backbone network, this project will help transform the Republic of the Congo into a digital economy center and data center in Central Africa. The overall construction of the data center and building intelligence mainly includes high-voltage power distribution systems, low-voltage intelligence including integrated wiring systems, environmental and mechanical monitoring, DCIM platforms, security systems, air conditioning and fresh air systems, lighting systems, communication networks, and other related data center construction products, and fire protection systems.
